The Resolve
Tools target the effect of traumatic life events on your heart,
soul, spirit, emotional body, chakras- call it what you will,
feel it how you will. The four Tools work with various effects
but as usual, they are open to your interpretation. Some may
resonate more than others. Some aspect may resonate more than
the entire visualization. Feel free to adjust, adapt or revise
them anyway you wish. This is deliberately not exact science.
All of
these Tools work to correct the imbalance that can develop
between intellectual understanding and emotional understanding.
This is somewhat naturally occurring given that the first phase
of our life is emotion-based- our childhood and youth. Our
ability to reason and truly develop intellectually comes later-
not until late teens and young adulthood. The quest is then to
harmoniously integrate all experience into balanced
emotional/intellectual understanding. This is often avoided due
to trauma in the former and over-glorification of the latter.
And partly, of course, to the previous lack of efficient Tools
with which to work.
The Shimmering Portal
(Healing)
 |
The
premise of this Tool is that traumatic life events can
cause a wound to your very heart, soul, spirit,
emotional body, chakras- again call it what you will.
Grief, sorrow, emotional pain, even melancholy are all
symptoms.
There are many ways to treat these symptoms but the
effects are temporary at best. The wound continues to
energetically fester, seeping into your daily life,
reminding you it's still there. Waiting to be healed.
To heal a
wound of this kind, you must consciously and intentionally focus
your attention on it. It's about taking responsibility for your
life. Affirming that you are ready to fully consider the event
and glean the wisdom from it. This Tool empowers you to take
such a proactive approach. |
You journey
through the portal to a crystal cavern where your intent combined with the “magic”
of the crystals spark the healing. Someone is waiting there to
assist you. Sometimes you will know both the wound and the
appropriate person to help you heal. Other times you may wish
to allow both to come forward on their own.
The
Shimmering Portal is an actual pool of water that forms after the rain
on a plateau about half-way up the Cathedral Rock
Trail.
The Creek of Attachment
 |
An attachment is an emotional
bond or tie to something. For our purposes, the
implication is that you have become too emotionally
bound or too emotionally tied to something. Emotionally
and energetically obsessed, if you will. For
example, you can be attached to a particular outcome or
accomplishment, to a role or function or to the need or
desire for something. It's like swimming upstream which
demands tremendous energy just to keep from sinking let
alone to move forward.
Meanwhile, other experiences,
other facets of your life wait around on the shore with
their fingers secretly crossed.
This Tool allows you to
energetically let go, freeing yourself to get out of the
water, catch your breath and look around. |
In this
visualization, you literally get out of the water (Sedona's Oak
Creek in my version) with your attachment(s) materialized as heavy
chunks or blocks stuck to your body. You command these to let
go and then, you let go.
The Ruin of Obsolete Belief
 |
Traumatic events of youth are the
foundation of our first beliefs. With greater
experience should come the opportunity to revise them.
There are two reasons why this doesn't typically
happen.
First, because of the emotional
trauma, it's easier just to bury these first beliefs.
Secondly, the typical greater experience involves a lot
of traditional education with its emphasis on facts,
figures and how to think, so it's easier just to form
new beliefs. |
The latter
may be intellectually legitimate but the former prevents you from
fully feeling new beliefs. The work of this Tool is to consciously
undo the emotional component of any now obsolete belief so that
you can fully embrace the new.
This
visualization takes place at a Native American ruin typical of
those found in Sedona's more remote red rocks. The ceremony is
simple but rich in symbolism. Symbolism enriched by the power
of your creative visualization.
The Altar of Judgment
 |
Judgment, according to this Tool,
is that inner voice that spontaneously and very
inappropriately criticizes others around you or more
importantly, some aspect of yourself. It's usually just
a brief remark however hurtful or ignorant.
This inner voice is a vestige of
the past. An energetic postscript. It may sound like
your voice but it's reading from someone else's
program. Someone who had emotional influence over you.
|
You know
such remarks are not true. Perhaps you've known it all along.
But intellectual understanding is not quite enough especially
since the judgment, itself, is not based in the rational. This
Tool acknowledges its inherent emotionality and works to silence
it on that level.
Again, the
setting is Sedona's red rocks. A particular formation that has
been sculpted over the centuries by the wind and rain to
resemble an altar. The perfect setting to give over a judgment,
to silence that inner voice, once and for all.
